MISSION STATEMENT

ΗΕLAΝΙ is a non-profit and charitable company within the meaning of article 784 of the Civil Code.

In particular its mission is to:
   a. Facilitate communication and collaboration between clinicians, health and life scientists, to promote and support research, education as well as improve clinical results of immune-mediated diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system and muscles.
   b. Support and promote basic and clinical research and education as an institution of research and education in the subject of neuroimmunology in Greece
   c. Actively participate in the coordination of initiatives regarding  research and education in the field of neuroimmunology, both in Greece as well as in cooperation with the respective European and International institutions.
   d. Organise medical conferences in the field of neuroimmunology and participate in any way in the joint organization of conferences with domestic or foreign institutions.
   e. Encourage young researchers in the field of Neuroimmunology

To this end it may:
   a. Undertake any type of scientific study or research.
   b. Undertake research initiatives, organize study-research groups or missions (group of representatives) and activities in Greece and  abroad.
   c. Organise and participate in events, conferences, seminars, training and academic programs, round tables, scientific symposia, lectures and field activities both in Greece and abroad.
   d. Create a thematic electronic portal-data base that will operate as a data base/online library through the digitisation of research and scientific data.
   e. Create a forum.
   f. Initiate networking activities on a national and international level, cooperate and develop partnerships based on  mutual respect and trust with municipalities, Regions (Perifereies), government agencies, other institutions, NGOs, companies with similar goals, university networks, associations, chambers, volunteers etc.. in order to  exchange  knowledge and submit joint projects and proposals.

In addition, the company may use generally every legal means so as to achieve its purpose and implement the aforementioned activities and enter into contracts or agreements with natural or legal persons (governed by private or public law), public corporations or private entities, related to the purpose of the company.
